Cantaloupe Strawberry Lemonade

I was inspired to craft this juice when I made a delicious fruit salad one day with cantaloupe and strawberries drizzled in honey with fresh lemon squeezed over it. With the first bite, I knew this would make a delicious juice!

Honestly, it blew me away with the first sip. It's sweet, refreshing and very fresh tasting when all of the fruit is ripe and tender. It's bold and vibrant in flavor, perfect for a hydration supplement since cantaloupe is mostly water.

This blend boasts delicate hints of cantaloupe, sweet strawberries, freshly squeezed lemons that merry together and create a tropical fruit vitamin rich medley. This juice is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Potassium, magnesium, fiber, folate, and some B & K vitamins. When blended together, these fruits and their vitamins help to promote eye health, immune health, heart support and skin and gut health.

Needless to say, this is one of my personal favorites on my juicing menu.

A word of caution: this recipe is ADDICTING! Once you start making it, you will never want to stop.

It's worth noting that this recipe does call for added sweeter since the juiced fruits are thinned with water. If you do not want to add sugar, use less water. Slowly add the water until it is thinned to your liking. However, I do believe the sugar is necessary to cut the acidity from the whole lemons added.

Anyway, look at this beauty before you start making your own!

Cantaloupe Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

What you need:
  1. 1 whole ripe cantaloupe
  2. 4 cups of sweet ripe strawberries
  3. 1 large lemon with the skin
  4. 2 cups of sweetener (white sugar OR 2 cups of stevia + 1/3 cup of white sugar)
  5. Add 50 FL oz of water / 3 bottles spring of water

 Instructions:
  1. Prepare your fruit by washing it thoroughly. Peel the cantaloupe, remove the leaves from the strawberries. Leave the skin on the lemon.
  2. Chop the fruit to fit in your juicer. The order does not matter.
  3. Follow the juicer's instructions to get the most juice from your fruit.
  4. Once the juice is collected in a pitcher, add water and sugar(s) according to your taste preferences, then stir gently.
  5. Secure the lid and give the pitcher a shake for thorough mixing.
While you can serve the juice over ice immediately, I highly recommend allowing it to chill in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours; the flavors meld beautifully when given time to meld.

Your freshly made juice will maintain its crispness and taste for 5-7 days. After this period, it's best to discard any remaining juice and start fresh.

Please note, this recipe is not suitable for blending with the strawberry seeds and lemon peel and pulp. For optimal results, use a juicer. Here's a budget-friendly juicer that I've found to work well.
